Prettie Girls Valencia Review (One World Dolls)

What It Is

Prettie Girls Valencia is part of a brand new line of multicultural dolls from the One World Doll Project. Valencia is an athletic Latina from Mexico City. Valencia also has a passion for cooking nutritious meals and keeping her body healthy. The doll wears a pink hooded shirt with matching pink sneakers, khaki shorts, and a blocked denim and cameo jacket. All the dolls in the line feature fashionable clothes, accessories, and come with doll stands.

Is It Fun?

Prettie Girls pays a lot of attention to detail in terms of sculpting features that are distinctive to the different races featured in the line-and they are the best ethnic sculpts we've ever seen in the doll aisle. They also have more realistic features that any girl can find more relatable, such as stronger, more muscular legs, and a more proportionate body type. The craftmanship that goes into these dolls is also something we think will appeal to collectors as well as kids.

Who It’s For

Prettie Girls dolls are for ages 3 and up.

What To Be Aware Of

We did find a bit of a disconnect between the dolls' biographies, which highlight their tween/teen-like interests, and the dolls' appearance, which look a lot older-some more than others. However, we don't think this takes away from the positive message of these dolls.
