Orthodontic Pacifier-Stage 3 Review (Difrax)

What It Is

The Difrax Orthodontic Pacifier-Stage 3 is part of a three-stage pacifier system designed to accommodate a baby's growth and development. For babies 18 months and up, the nipple on this pacifier is solid, which makes it less satisfying and prepares the child to be weaned from pacifier use. The pacifier style has a butterfly shape designed to prevent the nose from being obstructed. Two holes on the bottom of the pacifier get air to the skin to help prevent irritation. The Orthodontic pacifier's style features a rounded top side to rest against the baby's palate, while the baby's tongue presses against the flat side. Two pacifiers are included in one package.

Why Is It Useful?

While we don't know if this actually works to help break the pacifier habit, the sucking motion of this specialized pacifier is very different than that of a soft pacifier, and we can certainly see how this harder pacifier would deter a toddler from using it too much.

Who It’s For
