Lumi Dough Review (Hampton Direct)

What It Is

Lumi Dough is a glow-in-the-dark, moldable dough compound. The kit comes with five different glow-in-the-dark compounds (clear, pink, green, purple, and blue) plus black, which does not glow in the dark. There are also three star-shaped cutters. The dough is non-toxic, washable, and won't dry out unless baked.

To bake it, preheat the oven to 380 degrees F. Lay your creation on a baking sheet in oven pan and bake for about 10 minutes. Allow time to cool and your creation will solidify.

Is It Fun?

Unlike traditional dough compounds, Lumi Dough has an almost putty-like texture that is both sticky and a bit rubbery. The texture of the compound take some time to get used to and it doesn't hold it's form quite as well other compounds, however we like that it won't dry out on you unless you bake it. The star cutters are also a clever way for kids to make their own glow-in-the-dark stars to stick to their bedroom walls. From our testing, it didn't leave behind any residue.

Who It’s For

Lumi Dough is for ages 4 and up.
