Preschoolers can help Elefun chase fireflies in the game Elefun & Friends Elefun. The game comes with a motorized Elefun body, a trunk, two firefly nets with plastic handles and rims, and 25 fabric fireflies, seven of which glow in the dark. To start, put all the fireflies into the Elefun body and attach the trunk. Turn on Elefun and once you place him on the ground, the motor will start and send the fireflies flying through Elefun's trunk. The motor will not start until you place Elefun on the ground, which keeps fireflies from flying out before players are ready. Catch as many fireflies as you can in your net. If any fireflies fall to the ground, just pick them up, place them in Elefun's mouth, and they'll fly through his trunk again. The player with the most fireflies wins. The game is for one to two players.
This is a really cute game that will get kids up and moving around as they chase after the fireflies. The glow-in-the-dark feature works pretty well and adds some excitement to the play, allowing kids to pretend that the "fireflies" are really lighting up.
Elefun is for ages 3 and up.
Elefun requires four C batteries, which are not included.
Adult assembly is required. It took us six minutes to set up the game.
For best glow-in-the-dark effect, dim the lights. This is not recommended for play in complete darkness.
