What's It? is a cooperative game (meaning players work together instead of against each other) that challenges players to think creatively and think alike in order to beat the Doodler. The game is for two to six players, and each player gets an answer board and a pen. Start with 20 doodle cards face-down in a pile in the center of the playing space. One player rolls the die to determine the category: You wear it, You eat it, You love it, You use it, or You don't want it. If you roll a question mark, you get to make up the category for that round. The same player flips over a doodle card while another player flips over the 30-second timer. All players then have 30 seconds to write down what they think the doodle is in regards to the category. You must write at least three answers.
When time is up, players reveal their answers one player at a time. Any matches must be circled on the answer boards. Total the number of matches and non-matches. Each matching answer is worth one point for each player who has the matching answer. Each non-matching answer is worth one point for the Doodler, and the Doodler gets an extra three points if any player writes fewer than three answers. Mark the boxes on the scoreboard to reflect the points scored.
If the Doodler reaches the Win line first, the Doodler wins, but if the players reach the Win line first, the players win.
What's It? comes with 150 doodle cards, a category die, six dry erase pens, six answer boards, a scoreboard, and a 30-second timer.
This is an easy-to-learn game that engages players in creative thinking. And if creative minds think alike, everybody wins in this cooperative game.
What's It? is for ages 8 and up.
You'll need a few paper towels on hand to wipe the boards clean after each round.
