LEGO Juniors Batman: Defend the Batcave Review (LEGO)

What It Is

The LEGO Juniors Batman: Defend the Batcave is a 150-piece set that includes several large pieces, such as the entrance to the Batcave, that lets kids build quickly and get to playing. The Batmobile starts as a mostly complete chassis. The rest of the building is easy stacking, giving kids a sense of accomplishment and satisfaction. The set includes three minifigures (Batman, Robin, and the Joker) and lots of details and accessories, such as the Joker's bomb catapult, searchlight, and, of course, the Batphone to get the caped crusader into action. The set is part of the LEGO Juniors line, which is a collection of LEGO sets for young builders that features models that are easy to build with big, bold instruction booklets that are easy for younger builders to follow.

Is It Fun?

This is an ideal line for construction fans who may have outgrown the larger Duplo pieces and are ready to use the standard-sized LEGO bricks, but may not be ready for the more complicated builds designed for older kids. There are many opportunities for open-ended, narrative-based play with this set.

Who It’s For
