Last Letter is a word game where players try to get rid of their cards by coming up with a word that is pictured on one of the cards in their hand. But not just any word, mind you. The word must begin with the last letter of the word previously called.
To start, the dealer deals each player five cards and then places one card face-up in the center of the playing space. Using the card in the center, the dealer calls out a word that represents something on that card. For instance, in a picture of football players, the dealer might call out "helmet." All players, including the dealer, now look at their five cards and race to find something pictured on those cards that starts with the last letter of the word just called. If the word was "helmet," the next word must start with the letter "T." Once a player finds an acceptable word that fits, he calls out that word and places the corresponding card on top of the center card. All players now look to find a word that starts with this new last letter. The game continues until one player discards his or her last card. That player is the winner.
Last Letter comes with 61 illustrated cards and is for two or more players.
This fast-paced word game inspires creativity, fast thinking, and vocabulary skills. Because you never know what cards you'll get or what words will be called out, you get a different game experience each time you play.
Last Letter is for ages 8 and up.
The game instructions include suggestions for varied game play to make the game more challenging.
