The Spy Gear Spy Specs Video Glasses are high-tech special-ops shades that record videos and photos of your surroundings. The hidden embedded camera will begin to record with a simple click of a button. The Spy Specs can take up to 2,000 photos or 15 minutes of video, although that information is not communicated either on the box or in the instructions. We only know this because Spin Master told us. The dark lenses hide your gaze as you survey the area and collect footage. Upload your data to a Mac or PC by connecting the glasses using the included USB cable. The USB cable also charges your glasses, and it takes about 15 minutes to get a full charge.
These glasses are really cool, and they really work. And that's the whole point of the Spy Gear line: to give kids a realistic way to play out all kinds of spy adventures. The glasses are easy to use and just inconspicuous enough that no one will suspect you're spying on them.
The Spy Specs Video Glasses are for ages 8 and up.
There is an LED light on the inside of the glasses that lets you know that your glasses are recording, that the memory is full, or that the battery is low. However, you can't see the LED light when you're wearing the glasses.
While these do record sound, you have to be talking fairly loudly in order to be heard clearly.
Even though these glasses have tinted lenses, don't use them to view the sun.
