Jake and the Never Land Pirates Never Land Skate Park Review (Fisher-Price)

What It Is

The Never Land Skate Park is based on an episode of Jake and the Never Land Pirates in which Jake finds a skateboard and Hook, of course, steals it. This toy imagines the hull of a ship as a skate ramp with some fun surprises. The Jake figure can be placed on the skateboard for freewheeling play. Then, attach the skateboard to the ship's wheel and start him doing some stunts. Give it a spin, and he goes around as if he was making a dramatic jump. Kids can push one button to see if he can jump over Tick Tock Crock or the red skull lever to try to get some hang time. There's also a ramp he can race down, revealing Hook's clever hiding place and a button to press to release the treasure.

Is It Fun?

This is fun and engaging for kids in the target age range. They'll like the different challenges and getting Jake to spin around, and it offers a platform for some great imaginative play. This is a creative and entertaining toy that has a lot to keep kids occupied and engaged, even given its basic simplicity.

Who It’s For

This is for Jake and the Never Land Pirates fans ages 3 and up.

What To Be Aware Of

The mechanism that attaches the skateboard to the steering wheel may need some adult help. You want to match the tab to the slot and push until you hear a click. To remove, take Jake off the skateboard, hold the skateboard and pull. This movement, in particular, may need assistance from a grownup because the connection is pretty tight, which it needs to be.
