Wackytivities Goozerk Review (Spin Master)

What It Is

Goozerk is part of Spin Master's Wackytivities line, and it's a gelatinous compound that comes in squishy containers. This is an updated version of Gak, which many older kids and parents might know. It comes in orange, purple, blue, and green.

Is It Fun?

We had a good time playing with this. It's tactile and gooey without being too messy. And, of course, you can just sit and fiddle with it all day. The commercial claims that you can stretch this across a room or blow bubbles with it with a straw, but we were unable to get it to do either. The best we could do on stretching was about three feet, and the bubbles simply didn't work. (Actually, in the commercial it looks like the kids are playing with a lot more of the compound than comes in one of these containers.) We do like the flexible package that makes it fun to get the stuff out and put it away again. Still, like all compounds of this nature, this is really fun to fiddle with and toss around and stretch, so it's best just to enjoy it for that. It probably has a short lifespan once you get it home, but it is classic, silly fun.

Who It’s For

Goozerk is for ages 6 and up.

What To Be Aware Of

Goozerk has a slight chemical smell when you open the package, but that dissipates quickly.

You're going to want to be sure to put it back in the package and keep the top on when not playing so it doesn't dry out, and it's probably a good idea to play away from rugs. It will pick up dust and dirt from the floor.

This compound dries out and becomes hard and unusable overnight if left out of the package.

We got it on the tablecloth when we were shooting the review, and it took two washings and a stiff brushing to get the residue off the cloth. We would recommend playing with this away from fabrics as much as possible.
