miWorld OPI Nail Salon Review (Jakks Pacific)

What It Is

miWorld is a line of realistic miniatures of popular stores and mall spots that allows kids to build, collect, connect, display, and play. The miWorld OPI Nail Salon includes two walls, one floor, a sticker sheet, and 20 accessories, such as a chair, a pedicure station, a table, a display stand with pretend nail polish bottles, and more. Once assembled, this playset is almost eight-inches wide and eight-inches tall. It can be connected vertically or horizontally to other miWorld playsets so that kids can build their dream mall. miWorld figures are sold separately.

This is also compatible with the free miWorld Mall app that lets kids play interactive games on the go, such as painting virtual nails, to earn miWorld currency and purchase store items for the app's customizable avatar. When you point your smart device's camera at a miWorld playset, the avatar will appear in the playset. Touch certain points on your device's screen to see the avatar interact with the set.

Is It Fun?

For kids who love hanging out at the mall, now they can create their very own mall with the miWorld playsets. Kids will love seeing some of their favorite mall stores in miniature scale. While the OPI Nail Salon playset looks cool on display, it's obviously a lot more fun to play with if you have the miWorld dolls. But any doll or action figure around five-inches tall will do.

The app is a fun way to extend the play, especially when kids are on the go, but the interaction between the app and the playset is not very substantial. You also don't need the playset in order to play with the app.

Who It’s For

miWorld OPI Nail Salon is for ages 7 and up.

What To Be Aware Of

It took us about 10 minutes to assemble this playset. We had a hard time getting certain pieces to stay together.

The packaging does not offer this information, but the miWorld Mall app is compatible with iPhone, iPad, and iPod Touch running iOS 7.0 or later. The app is optimized for iPhone 5.
