Hearts-a-Hoppin’ Frog Review (Hallmark)

What It Is

If you're looking for a Valentine's Day gift for your child or spouse, Hallmark has a variety of silly holiday-themed electronic plush toys. Hearts-a-Hoppin' Frog is a soft green frog that stands 11.5 inches tall and holds a red "Be Mine!" heart. When you press the button on the frog's arm, the frog dances and sings a parody of the song "Hot, Hot, Hot!" with the lyrics changed to "Hop, Hop, Hop!" A book called The Runaway Heart from Hallmark features this frog in the story, and the book is sold separately.

Is It Fun?

Whether you find this frog cute and clever or corny, there's no denying it's an entertaining gift sure to put a smile on your loved one's face.

Who It’s For

While there's not a set recommended age for this toy, we recommend waiting until your child is at least 2 years old to play with it alone.

What To Be Aware Of

Hearts-a-Hoppin' Frog includes three AA batteries and is push-button-activated so you can shut off the song using the same button you press to turn it on. There's also an on/off switch on the back of the toy to save the battery life.

While this has no age grading on it, it's probably most appropriate for kids (and adults) ages 2 and up.
