LEGO Ninjago Destructoid Review (LEGO)

What It Is

The LEGO Ninjago: Destructoid from LEGO is a 253-piece building set that builds General Cryptor's Destructoid mech and the three minifigures of Zane, General Cryptor and Mindroid.

General Cryptor's Destructoid mech is a menacing vehicle with working treads that, when moved, cause the large blades on the front of the vehicle to chop up and down. There's also a disc shooter that fires by pulling and releasing a lever. The turret section rotates 360-degrees and has two weapons-clad arms—one with a buzz-saw and the other a huge sword and shield.

Is It Fun?

Three minifigures in this set represent two battling factions with the hero, Zane, fighting against the Nindroids. Kids will have a blast coming up with all sorts of adventures involving the battling foes and this "lethal" mech.

Who It’s For

This set is for LEGO Ninjago fans, ages 8 to 14.

What To Be Aware Of

The directions are excellent and should take most LEGO builders about 45 minutes to complete.

One thing that we noticed is that one of the treads in our set was loose. This could be an isolated issue but even if it isn't, it doesn't detract from the set's fun.
