Lottie Pirate Queen Review (Schylling)

What It Is

Lottie is a line of seven-inch dolls that, unlike other fashion dolls, are more "adult" in tone. Lottie does not wear make-up, tattoos, jewelry, or high heels, and the manufacturer says that the Lottie doll body (with the exception of the head) is based on the actual proportions of a 9-year-old child. The realistic body proportions are designed to promote a healthy body image for young girls.

There are several new Lottie characters in the doll line, including Pirate Queen. Pirate Queen wears playful pirate attire complete with felt hat and a removable skull and crossbones patch. A cutlass sword and a series of collector cards about the real Irish pirate Grace O'Malley complete the outfit. This doll comes with a Velcro patch that can be mixed and matched among the dolls. The doll also has moveable joints for poseable play and flat feet so that it can stand on its own. The packaging can be reused and has a carry handle.

Is It Fun?

Lottie dolls are cute dolls that will engage kids in lots of imaginative play. With themes that will appeal to a variety of kids, it will be fun for kids to collect the dolls that do the same things they do and that also look similar to the way they look.
