Who Lives in the Forest? Sound Book Review (AZ Books)

What It Is

Who Lives in the Forest? Sound Book features five animals and corresponding animal sounds. It also has pop-up pictures. The 10-page book features a bear, fox, rabbit, hedgehog, and owl. Each spread has an animal that pops up along with a couple sentences about that animal. Kids press the sound buttons on the right to hear the animal noises as they read.

Is It Fun?

For kids who love exploring and learning about animals, including animal sounds, this book is ideal. The cartoon illustrations are cute and colorful, and most of the sounds are realistic.

Who It’s For

Who Lives in the Forest? Sound Book is for ages 3 and up.

What To Be Aware Of

The book does require three button cell batteries, which are included.

One thing that may be a bit misleading is that the front of the book says "funny animals", but the animals and descriptions featured are not exactly funny. In fact, the rabbit in the book hides from a scary wolf, which may be a bit frightening to young children.
