With the Magformers Light Show set, kids can use colorful magnetic pieces to design and build different 3-D structures and then light them up. The 55 pieces in this set include squares, triangles, curved rectangles, translucent pyramids, and an LED light. The pieces attach together on any side using built-in magnets. Using the included USB cable, you plug the LED light into a computer to charge it. A full charge takes about two hours. Press the button on the bottom of the LED light to change between six light colors. The idea booklet shows kids picture instructions for three-dimensional structures to build as well as offers ideas of how to use the structures and light to create different shadows on a wall.
Kids will have fun creating what's in the instruction booklet and coming up with models of their own. The magnets are very strong, allowing kids to create pretty sturdy structures, and the LED light is a neat effect, especially when used in a darkened room.
Magformers Light Show is for ages 6 and up.
We wish the picture instructions were a little more in-depth, telling kids what specific parts are needed before they start building because it can be hard to tell what pieces are being used in some of the pictures.
This can be used with other Magformers sets, which are sold separately.
