Just Dance Kids 2014 Review (Nintendo)

What It Is

Just Dance: Kids 2014 from Ubisoft is the 2014 edition of the Just Dance series of games, designed specifically for kids. Like all dance games, this one requires players to dance with and mimic the movements of an onscreen character. The game has more than 30 songs, selected to please players of all ages.

Is It Fun?

This is a fun and energetic game that will have everyone in the house up and dancing. The game's song library is grouped into three main categories. The first category is Younger Kids and it includes songs such as "Skip To My Lou", the Fraggle Rock opening song, and The Wiggles' "Get Ready to Wiggle". The next category is Older Kids', which includes pop hits such as One Direction's "One Thing", Demi Lovato's "Give Your Heart A Break", and Selena Gomez's "Hit The Lights". The final category is for All Ages and this includes songs that everyone will enjoy, including parents. This group has the songs "Footloose", "Hit Me With Your Best Shot", and "The Hustle". Regardless of what song players dance to, the on screen characters and animations are funny, crazy and very entertaining.

Who It’s For

The game is rated E for everyone. Kids as young as 4 should be able to play along, and kids between the ages of 4 and 10 will enjoy it the most.

What To Be Aware Of

There are no penalties for wrong dance moves and even close attempts are rewarded.

Just Dance: Kids 2014 is available for the Wii, Wii U and Xbox 360.
