Elmo Loves ABCs Review (Sesame Street)

What It Is

Preschoolers can learn about letters with Elmo through the Elmo Loves ABCs app. This app has songs, videos, coloring pages, and games all about letters. Kids can tap any letter to hear Elmo say the letter out loud. Then, kids use their finger to trace the uppercase and lowercase letter on the screen. Once complete, pictures of three things that start with that letter will appear. Tap on each picture to see a video about that object. You can also move the slide selector on the side to access coloring pages of each object or a hide and seek game where kids must find the three images hidden underneath a pile of leaves or balloons. Kids can also press the music note button for four different songs and videos about letters. Pressing the star button will start a letter game with Elmo.

From the home page, parents can press the parent button to personalize the app by adding their own photos and videos to the game. Parents can also access the ABCs Tracker to track their child's progress through the app.

Is It Fun?

Kids who like Elmo will like exploring the alphabet with Elmo through this app. The app has a lot of educational content, helping preschoolers with letter identification, letter sounds, and letter tracing, while the games and activities encourage kids to get creative. The personalization aspect of the app is really cool, allowing kids to see favorite objects and familiar people as they play.
