Angry Birds Go! Jenga Pirate Pig Attack Game Review (Hasbro)

What It Is

Angry Birds fans can play out action from the new Angry Birds Go! app with Angry Birds Go! Jenga Pirate Pig Attack Game. The object of the game is to knock down blocks, cannons, and pigs to score points and be the player with the most points at the end of the game. First, assemble the ship structure, and then each player picks an Angry Bird kart and launcher. The players then load their karts into their launchers and release their karts at the same time up the ramp. If the karts crash together, start over. The player whose kart strikes the ship first collects the blocks, cannons, and pigs that fall out and puts them aside. Players keep launching the karts until there is nothing left to knock down. Then, count up your points. You score one point for each block, two points for each cannon and flag, and three points for each pig. The player with the most points wins.

Kids can also play solo by launching a kart at the ship structure and trying to knock down all the pigs and ship parts in the fewest number of shots.

This game comes with two karts, a bird, five pigs, two launchers, a ramp, 27 pieces for the ship structure, and instructions. The game also includes a code that kids can use to unlock content in the Angry Birds Go! app. Downloading and purchasing the app first is required.

Is It Fun?

This is a really fun game that turns the action and knock-down-pigs excitement of the app into a real-world skill-and-action game. The launchers are easy to use and send the Angry Birds karts flying really well. Kids will like that the karts' real-rolling wheels allow them to have classic racecar fun with favorite Angry Birds characters outside of the game.

Who It’s For

Angry Birds Go! Jenga Pirate Pig Attack Game is for Angry Birds fans ages 8 and up.

What To Be Aware Of

While this game has the name Jenga in the title, it's not really Jenga, but building the game structure does require a steady hand or else all the Jenga-like blocks will fall down.

The game comes with two karts but only one Angry Bird. However, one of the five pigs is designed to fit on one of the karts, so kids can use that for launching or kids can use birds from other sets, sold separately, with this one.
