Bella Loves Bunny Review (Abrams Appleseed)

What It Is

Bella Loves Bunny by David McPhail is a companion board book to McPhail's Ben Loves Bear. (You can visit to check out our review of Ben Loves Bear.) In this book, instead of a little boy and his teddy bear, the story is about the friendship between a little girl and her stuffed bunny rabbit. Bella and Bunny do everything together, from playing the piano and hopping to eating carrot cake for lunch. At night, they pick out Bella's favorite pajamas and snuggle close until they fall asleep.

Is It Fun?

If you loved Ben Loves Bear, you'll find Bella Loves Bunny just as charming. This is a heartwarming book that celebrates a child's imaginative relationship with a favorite stuffed animal. If your child has a favorite stuffed animal that she takes everywhere, this book would make a great addition to your home library. The illustrations are really beautiful, and the sparse text makes this board book perfect for beginning readers.

Who It’s For
