Justice League: Axis of Villains Strategy Game Review (Wonder Forge)

What It Is

Justice League: Axis of Villains from Wonder Forge is a strategy game for two to four players. The players work together with each person selecting one of the four Justice League Super Heroes as his or her game piece. The Super Heroes are Superman, Batman, The Green Lantern and The Flash.

Is It Fun?

Strategy Games are a specific category of board games. They usually require thinking several steps ahead and planning out your moves before making them. They are like a cross between classic board games and Chess.

Part of the reason that this game is so much fun is because the players are all on the same side. Players work together as they try to capture and defeat some of DC Comics' most iconic villains. The villains are captured through battle challenges but you have to move quickly and strategically because the villains are on a march to the center of the board. If they get there and blow up the 4-piece satellite, they win.

Who It’s For

This game is for Justice League and DC Comics fans, ages 8 and up, however, figuring out how to play is complicated and most kids under the age of 10 are going to need some help at first. I played the game with three adults and it took all of us several rounds before we really knew what we were doing.

What To Be Aware Of

Once you have the game figured out, it's a blast and can be played by 2 to 4 people.
