Playskool Heroes Transformers Rescue Bots Beam Box Game System Review (Hasbro)

What It Is

PlaySkool Heroes Transformers Rescue Bots: Beam Box Game System from Hasbro is a game console and physical figure system that beams the Transformers Rescue Bots characters into a video game.

Is It Fun?

When kids place a Rescue Bot Transformer figure in the beam box's open bay, the console lights up and makes sounds that lets kids know it's time for action. Then when the button on top is pressed – the doors automatically close, there are more sounds and lights and the figure "magically" appears on the TV. The doors will then reopen to show an empty bay.

The Rescue Bots Beam Box figures unlock the console's games. The console comes with Optimus Prime and five playable games. The games include a main mission with multiple levels plus four mini games.

Who It’s For

All of the games are simple, easy to learn and perfectly suitable for little Transformers fans, between the ages of 3 and 7.

What To Be Aware Of

The Beam Box hooks up to a TV through the included RCA cord.

Expansion packs are sold as additional figures that unlock a new game for that figure. These figures are sold separately.
