Star Wars Black Series #01 Luke Skywalker Review (Hasbro)

What It Is

The Star Wars Black Series, #01 Luke Skywalker is part of Hasbro's 6-inch Black Series collection of action figures. It features Luke in his X-Wing pilot uniform from the first Death Star battle in Star Wars: Episode 4, A New Hope from 1977.

Is It Fun?

Like all the figures in the Black Series, this Luke has a lot of articulation and painstakingly accurate details, especially in the helmet's paint job. The helmet can be worn (and fits perfectly) on Luke's head or it can be held by Luke under his arm.

The two other accessories are a blaster and Luke's first lightsaber – the one that Ben gives him that used to belong to Anakin Skywalker. The lightsaber can be held by Luke in its ignited form or the blade section can be removed and the hilt can be clipped onto Luke's belt.

Who It’s For

Star Wars fans and collectors, ages four and up.

What To Be Aware Of

The Black Series is a collector-focused series from Hasbro that is re-releasing characters from across the Star Wars saga. The 6-inch figures are some of the most detailed figures to date. There will be eight Black Series 6-inch figures in all and the #01 Luke Skywalker is part of the first wave. Other first wave figures include R2-D2, Darth Maul and a Sandtrooper.
