LEGO Galaxy Squad CLS-89 Eradicator Mech Review (LEGO)

What It Is

The LEGO Galaxy Squad: CLS-89 Eradicator Mech is nice sized, 440-piece construction set that builds the CLS-89 Eradicator Mech vehicle, two alien abductoids and two LEGO Minifigures.

Is It Fun?

We love this CLS-89 Mech, which is packed with fun features. It has a lot of articulation, including a 360-degree rotating torso, plenty of decal details, weapons storage and a flick-missile launcher with 5 missiles. The Mech also separates into two vehicles. The cockpit detaches to become the Galaxy Jet, which has a hidden bay door with a bomb and two flick missiles. And the rest of the Mech then pivots and rotates to become an exosuit. The two Minifigures are Jack Fireblade, the Orange Team's leader, and his robot sidekick. The alien abductoids include a flier and a walker and both have cocoon prisons to capture and transport the Minifigures.

Who It’s For

This construction set is for LEGO fans, ages 8 and up.

What To Be Aware Of

The instructions are clear and easy to follow and most LEGO fans should be able to complete this set in 1 to 2 hours.

The CLS-89 Eradicator Mech is part of LEGO's Galaxy Squad line, which is a space-themed collection of construction sets.
