Thunderbolt Strike Roller Coaster Review (K'NEX)

What It Is

The Thunderbolt Strike Roller Coaster is one of the newest additions to K'NEX line of buildable coasters. The set features more than 800-pieces. When assembled the roller coaster simulates the flips, drops, and turns of a metal amusement park coaster at more than five feet wide and three feet tall. The set features a motor, vertical chain lift, two cars, two fully articulated K'NEXmen figures, and comes packaged in a reuseable K'NEX suitcase.

Is It Fun?

For kids who like the thrill of roller coasters and construction toys, the Thunderbolt Strike Roller Coaster building offers both. And for kids who might not get to the amusement park that often, they will like building their own. But building is only part of the fun. Once complete, turn it on and watch as the coaster twists, drops, and turns. We think this is a set that K'NEX fans will love adding to their collection and the directions are easy enough to establish new fans as well.

Who It’s For

The Thunderbolt Strike Roller Coaster is for ages 8 and up.

What To Be Aware Of

The ride should take the average builder about 6–7 hours to construct.

Two AA batteries are required but not included. A small screw driver is also needed to insert batteries inside the battery-operated motor.
