Mario Kart Wii Donkey Kong and Standard Bike Building Set Review (K'NEX)

What It Is

The Donkey Kong and Standard Bike Building Set is based on the popular Mario Kart Wii video game. This 34-piece building set includes rods, connectors, and bricks for building a Donkey Kong figure and a bike like in the video game. The bike has real working wheels. Once built, this set can be played with on its own or along with other K'NEX Mario Kart Wii building sets, which are sold separately.

Is It Fun?

This is an easy-to-build set that makes a great start or addition to a K'NEX Mario Kart Wii collection. Kids will want to collect other sets so they can create races just like in the video game. With this figure and bike set, kids can race Donkey Kong or imagine their own adventures for the character.

Who It’s For

The Mario Kart Wii Donkey Kong and Standard Bike Building Set is for Mario Kart Wii fans ages 6 and up.

What To Be Aware Of

This building set took us five minutes to put together. The instructions were easy to follow. However, the bike did not stay together very well during play.

K'NEX recommends using the packaging as a ramp for the bike, but the packaging is a little flimsy so you probably won't get much use out of it. If you do plan on using the package as a ramp, be careful opening the package so that you don't tear it and render it completely unusable.

Additional building sets include the following characters: Koopa Troopa, Luigi, Mario, Wario, Toad, Donkey Kong, and Diddy Kong. Each is sold separately.
