OVERALL EDITOR'S RATING:
What It Is

The Ugglys Pug is an electronic puppet that is part of a whole line of gross dogs called, aptly enough, The Ugglys. Turn the puppet on, put it on your hand, and you're ready to gross out anyone in the vicinity. The dog belches, farts, and makes random noises when you manipulate it. And he sounds like he draws flies when you push the button on his collar. You can turn the dial on the dog's collar to vary the pitch of the noises.

Is It Fun?

This will appeal to kids who like a good fart joke, and most kids around 5–8 years old do. It's becoming one of the bestsellers of the season, proving once again that you can't go wrong with a bit of gross. The sounds are disgusting, but you can't help appreciating the age-appropriate content of this. From the hideous look to the incessant gassy sounds, this is going to be primarily a fun novelty item. The Ugglys join a long history of gross-out characters that, whatever adults think of them, are a surefire hit with kids.

Who It’s For

The Ugglys Pug is for ages 5 and up.
