Monsters in a Box Review (Random House)

What It Is

Monsters in a Box is a set of four board books based on Disney/Pixar's Monsters, Inc. and Monsters University. The books, which are 10 pages each, are written by Andrea Posner-Sanchez and feature illustrations from the Disney Storybook Artists that look just like the movies. The books are packaged in a sturdy carrying case with handle. Three of the books are based on three of the biggest Monsters, Inc. characters: Mike, Sulley, and Randall. These books tell kids about each character. The fourth book, Meet the Students, features Mike, Sulley, and Randall, but also introduces readers to their classmates at Monsters University: Squishy, Art, Don, Terri, and Terry.

Is It Fun?

We didn't find the three character books too exciting, but fans of the movies may enjoy reading about the characters. Monsters fans will also like the pictures in each book as well as carrying the books around in the case.

Who It’s For

Monsters in a Box is for ages 1–4.
