The Trikke T5 is a three-wheeled scooter that helps kids enjoy a fun, physical activity while building confidence in agility, balance, and coordination. Children can use this scooter as a kick scooter, but this is designed to be a self-propelled carving scooter, which means that kids can keep the scooter moving not by kicking, but by shifting their weight side to side while turning and leaning with the frame into the turn. It resembles a skiing motion.
The Trikke T5 has durable molded foot platforms and soft foam hand grips. You can adjust the handle bar height by loosening the handlebar clamp bolt and moving the handlebar up or down before re-tightening the bolt. The scooter also features dual hand brakes, a dual rear wheel braking system, five-inch polyurethane wheels, and a collapsible frame when the front axle pin is removed.
The Trikke T5 is available in two color schemes: blue and yellow or orange and white. Each is sold separately.
Because this scooter has three wheels instead of two, it is easier for younger kids to keep their balance while riding. There might be a learning curve when it comes to figuring out how to move from side to side to propel the scooter forward, but with practice, kids will soon get the hang of it. This scooter helps improve kids' coordination and gets them active outside.
The Trikke T5 is for ages 4–8 with a maximum weight limit of 80 pounds.
This took us 20 minutes to assemble. The instructions were okay. We had difficult inserting one piece. The instructions show the piece being pushed into the scooter, but we had to use a hammer to get it in.
When children are riding this scooter, make sure they are wearing protective gear, such as helmets, elbow pads, and knee pads.
