What It Is

Kids can take on the forces of Sauron with The Lord of the Rings Battle at the Black Gate building set. With this 656-piece set, kids can build the Black Gate of Mordor with spiked detailing, opening and locking doors, a secret entrance, and a catapult. The set includes five minifigures: Aragorn, Gandalf the White, the Mouth of Sauron, and two Mordor Orcs. There is also a Great Eagle figure with moving wings and a poseable horse. Weapons include a staff, three swords, and a ball and chain. This set is compatible with all other LEGO The Lord of the Rings building sets, which are sold separately.

This set has great detail and built-in action that fans, collectors, and kids will appreciate. With this set, kids can reenact the scene from The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King or imagine all-new battles.

What To Be Aware Of

This set took us two hours and 15 minutes to put together. The instructions were very easy to follow. The pieces are divided into two bags, each with its own set of building instructions. Do not mix pieces from the different bags or building will become confusing.
