LEGO Galaxy Squad Hive Crawler Review (LEGO)

What It Is

With the LEGO Galaxy Squad Hive Crawler, kids can help stop the alien mantizoid. This 560-piece set lets kids build a Hive Crawler and a hero speedster that separates into two halves for a sky speeder and a planet speeder. The Hive Crawler has moving legs, a pinching mouth, pretend laser guns, and an opening cockpit with space for a minifigure. The Hive Crawler also comes with two hatching eggs containing one flying and one crawling insectoid. Kids can launch the eggs from the back of the Hive Crawler, and when the eggs land, they break open to reveal the insectoids inside. The set also includes three minifigures with weapons: red team leader Billy Starbeam, a robot sidekick with jetpack, and an alien mantizoid.

Is It Fun?

The LEGO Galaxy Squad Hive Crawler will engage kids in lots of imaginative, open-ended play. Kids will like all the moving parts and accessories, such as the egg launcher with break-apart alien eggs, which help bring the intergalactic play to life, as well as the detail in this building set.
