Baby Abuelita Abuelita Rosa Review (Kids Preferred)

What It Is

Baby Abuelita productions' Abuelita Rosa musical doll from Kids Preferred. Kids can listen and sing along with the Abuelita Rosa doll as it sings traditional Hispanic lullabies. The 17-inch Abuelita Rosa grandmother doll comes dressed in a pink gingham daisy "bata de casa" (house dress) and features a soft body. Simply squeeze Abuelita Rosa's hand to make her sing one of six different songs in a soothing singing voice. In certain songs you can also hear the voice of a child chime in encouraging your own child to join in as well such as "Arroz con Leche."

Is It Fun?

Abuelita Rosa encourages Hispanic-Americans to preserve their heritage through the doll's traditional Hispanic lullabies. The doll provides a fun way for Hispanic grandparents and parents specifically to introduce their own child to the songs their own Abuela and Abuelo would sing to them and continue to pass on the Hispanic language and traditions.

Who It’s For

Abuelita Rosa musical doll is for ages 2 and up.

The doll is best suited for kids and parents who are already familiar with the songs and Spanish language.

What To Be Aware Of

While the doll is described as a learning aid, there are no Spanish-English translations to the song's lyrics readily available. So it's best suited for families looking to preserve the Hispanic cultural tradition and educate their children, rather than educating non-Spanish speakers.
