Minnie & Daisy Best Friends Forever: The Pesky Pet Review (Disney Press)

What It Is

In the 128-page book Minnie & Daisy Best Friends Forever: The Pesky Pet, Daisy Duck falls in love with surfing and becomes determined to buy her very own surfboard. In order to afford it, she will need to get a job. After a few disasters, Daisy takes a job pet-sitting for her neighbors' adorable but hard-to-handle sugar glider (which, according to the book, is a gerbil-sized creature that can't handle sugar, among other things). Daisy realizes she is in over her head and calls in her BFF Minnie for reinforcement.

Is It Fun?

This is a cute story for Disney fans. The book itself is ideal for young readers because it has short chapters, illustrations on almost every page, and phrases in fun, bold colors that jump out at you from the page. It's great for a young reader who is past children's books but may still need a little something to hold their attention as they progress to chapter books.
