The Liteway Plus Stroller is more than just a stroller. It's a compact travel system. This combination car seat stroller frame and toddler umbrella stroller is easy to assemble. Take it out of the box, snap on the wheels, and attach the canopy and cup holder. The seat offers five recline positions and adjustable leg support, both of which are really easy to do. To recline the seat, pull the white lever up and pull or push the seat to adjust it how you like it. For the leg rest, press the buttons and rotate the two side levers simultaneously to the desired position.
The five-point harness is adjustable in height at three positions, and that is simple to do as well.
There is a removable canopy that opens and closes easily by locking or unlocking the side levers. We wish that the canopy came out farther for more sun protection. It doesn't offer much cover the way it is now. There is a peek-a-boo window on top of the canopy so that parents can watch their child as they push him along.
The stroller's rear-wheel suspension cushions toddlers from bumps in the road. The front wheels can be fixed or allowed to swivel depending on the terrain and your preference.
There is a storage basket underneath the stroller, but it's not very big. You could probably fit a purse in it but not a large diaper bag.
Folding the stroller involves activating the foot release, and then pushing up on the small foot pedal. There is a carry strap on the side, and the stroller weighs 20 pounds. To unfold, release the side latch and push down on the small foot pedal until the stroller locks open.
You can also use the Liteway Plus Stroller as a frame for the Chicco KeyFit or KeyFit 30 Infant Car Seats, sold separately. When in carrier mode, the car seat easily clicks onto the Liteway Plus Stroller base.
The Liteway Plus Stroller is available in four color schemes: Equinox (navy/white), Surge (green/black), Snapdragon (red/white), and Pulse (red/grey).
Overall, this is a comfy stroller for toddlers. Our city mom Tami uses this stroller to run errands, but not for her five-mile walks in the park. However, that's how it would be with any umbrella stroller. When folded, it's a little bulkier than most of the lesser expensive umbrella strollers, but it would still fit nicely in the backseat footwell or trunk of a car. That said, this stroller has long-term value due to its two-in-one functionality, and it is more compact than other travel system strollers.
The Liteway Plus Stroller is recommended for children up to 50 pounds.
The Liteway Plus Stroller is available at Babies "R" Us, Target, and specialty stores. Not all color schemes are available at each retailer.
