EDITOR'S REVIEW
OVERALL EDITOR'S RATING:
What It Is

The KRE-O: Star Trek Transporter Trouble from Hasbro is a 65-piece construction set that lets kids build their own Star Trek adventures. Kids build the Enterprise's transporter bay, which features a rotating platform and Lighttech Technology to recreate the "Beam Me Down", transporter action from the movies and TV show. The set also includes two Kreon figures, Scotty and a Klingon.

Is It Fun?

The transporter's two sides allow kids to imagine all sorts of Star Trek scenarios. The set has some great detail including image panels that are different on both sides and the Lighttech feature automatically lights up when the transporter is activated. That activation is done by a switch on the playset.

Who It’s For

Transporter Trouble is for Star Trek fans ages 6–12. However, we expect that Star Trek fans who are also fans of building sets may enjoy this as well.

What To Be Aware Of

It took us about 20 minutes to put this together and the directions were easy to follow except for a slightly confusing symbol that means to turn the whole thing around. Anyone who has done a KRE-O construction set before will recognize the symbol.

The two button-cell batteries required for the light are included.
