First Team Pitchback Review (SKLZ)

What It Is

The First Team Pitchback is designed to help young kids practice pitching, fielding, and throwing. This 3-foot by 5-foot Pitchback has a sturdy screen that kicks balls back at a variety of angles to simulate ground balls, line drives, or pop flies. It also includes a strike zone target ribbon for pitchers. It can be used on hard ground, such as a driveway or street, or on grass. If you're using it on grass, make sure to stick the included four hooks into the ground to keep the Pitchback stable. This can be used with a tennis ball, wiffle ball, or baseball.

Is It Fun?

This is a good way to teach young kids the elements of baseball, allowing them to practice pitching, fielding, and throwing on their own.

Who It’s For

The First Team Pitchback is not recommended for kids over 10 because at that point, they might be throwing the ball too hard for the net.

What To Be Aware Of

One thing we didn't like about the First Team Pitchback is that once it's assembled, it doesn't fold up. For storage, you either have to take it apart or keep it assembled and store it in a large space.
