LEGO The Lone Ranger Silver Mine Shootout Review (LEGO)

What It Is

The ingenious 644-piece LEGO The Lone Ranger Silver Mine Shootout is based on the movie The Lone Ranger. Kids can fling a boulder from the top of the mine or drop it onto a sneaking villain on the floor below. Villains or heroes can ride to the top of the mine in the bucket, blasting their way out. The longhorn skeleton doubles as a flick missile to stop an attack. Heroes and villains can escape into a waiting mine car by sliding down the chute, or kids can put up the flaps to stop them in their tracks. Fling the dynamite at a bad guy or pretend to blow the mine wide open. The set comes with five minifigures: a dusty Lone Ranger, Tonto, Chief Big Bear, Butch Cavendish, and the bandit Skinny Kyle.

Is It Fun?

This set is packed with classic action-and-adventure play that is likely to inspire hours of creative, narrative-based excitement for kids. We were really impressed with the level of classic play that LEGO has built into this set.

Who It’s For

The Silver Mine Shootout is for The Lone Ranger fans ages 9–14, but we think that younger kids, about 7 or 8, will also have fun with this.
