LEGO The Lone Ranger Colby City Showdown Review (LEGO)

What It Is

The LEGO The Lone Ranger Colby City Showdown is based on the movie The Lone Ranger. Using the 587 pieces in this building set, kids will build a sheriff's office with exploding jail wall and rooftop cannon that fires projectiles, and a bank with a silver vault, exploding wall, and exploding bank sign. There is also a small wagon with rolling wheels. Five minifigures are included: the Lone Ranger, Tonto, Texas Ranger Dan Reid, Ray, and Frank. Weapons include three revolvers, three rifles, and a tomahawk. Accessories include a sack, two bundles of dynamite sticks, a bottle, handcuffs, keys, a barrel, and two silver bars.

Is It Fun?

There's a lot of detail in this building set, right down to even the tiniest accessory. We like the Wanted poster on the sheriff's office and the little jail cell key, but, of course, the exploding and firing features are cool, too. This set will engage kids in lots of action-packed imaginative play as they recreate scenes from the movie or come up with all-new adventures for the Lone Ranger.

Who It’s For

Colby City Showdown is for The Lone Ranger fans ages 8–14.

What To Be Aware Of

This set took us one hour and 25 minutes to assemble. The instructions were easy to follow. The pieces are divided into two bags, each with its own set of instructions. Do not mix the pieces from the two bags or building will become difficult.
