The Bus Driver Review (Robin Corey Books)

What It Is

In The Bus Driver, readers count to 10 and then back down to 1. The story, by Todd Harris Goldman with illustrations by Todd H. Doodler, chronicles a typical day in the life of a city bus driver as he picks up and drops off all different types of passengers from teachers and firemen to basketball players and puppies. To add to the fun, the book is shaped like a bus.

Is It Fun?

This book is a fun way for kids to count to 10 as the passengers get on the bus and then count in reverse as the passengers exit the bus. We found the book's rhymes to be a little stiff, but even though they don't flow that well, the book is still cute and clever. Kids will enjoy reading, counting, and looking at the cartoon graphics.

Who It’s For

The Bus Driver is for ages 2–4. This is good for co-reading with an adult.
