Play-Doh: Mama’s Little Ducklings Review (Silver Dolphin Books)

What It Is

Play-Doh: Mama's Little Ducklings is a 12-page lift-the-flap board book that tells the cute and simple story of Mama Duck and her little ducklings. The night before her eggs are ready to hatch, Mama's littlest egg rolls off on its own. In the morning, the eggs crack open and the four ducklings waddle after their mama in search of their sibling. They look high and low, with Mama Duck asking all the creatures they encounter if they've seen the missing egg. At long last, they come upon the Easter Bunny who knows just where the littlest duckling is hidden.

Is It Fun?

The illustrations throughout this board book are bright and colorful Play-Doh sculptures. They are a lot of fun to look at, as are the flaps with surprises underneath. Because the Easter Bunny is a character in this book, this could be a good option for an Easter gift. Plus, it's just the right size to fit in an Easter basket.

Who It’s For

Play-Doh: Mama's Little Ducklings is for ages 3 and up, but we think the bright and colorful illustrations would also be great for toddlers.
