KRE-O G.I. JOE Battle Attack Platform Review (Hasbro)

What It Is

The KRE-O G.I. JOE Battle Attack Platform is a 368-piece building set that has lots of built-in play. The JOE forces have to defend the battle platform from the evil forces of COBRA. In addition to the platform, there are three vehicles: a motorcycle, JOE-copter, and COBRA fighting flier. There is a cell block where you can capture the combatants and stage daring escapes. The set comes with five KRE-ON figures: Conrad "Duke" Hauser, Roadblock, and three COBRA fighters.

Is It Fun?

There are lots of great opportunities for imaginative, narrative-based play. While we wish the pieces held together a little more strongly during active play, there are cool features, such as the missile-firing levers, that add fun and excitement to the play.

Who It’s For

The KRE-O G.I. JOE Battle Attack Platform is for ages 7–14. This will appeal to G.I. JOE fans with the patience to engage in the building and who will appreciate all the small details that are included when creating their own action scenarios.

What To Be Aware Of

This set took an expert builder 90 minutes to put together and required a great deal of patience. The instructions on this are complicated and confusing. All the pieces are mixed together, so it's difficult to find what you need.

This is not specifically related to the G.I. Joe Retaliation, but the play and the characters of the Kre-On figures are going to be familiar to G.I. Joe fans.
