LEGO Ninjago The Golden Dragon Review (LEGO)

What It Is

The Golden Dragon is a 252-piece build-and-play set in the LEGO Ninjago line. As the story goes, Lloyd the Golden Ninja has summoned the powerful Golden Dragon into an epic stand-off against Lord Garmadon's evil minions. For LEGO trivia fans, this is the seventh dragon in the Ninjago line, and new elements include the blade wings and the split tail. There's also a lot of great mobility in the model to inspire imaginative play on the figure that measures more than five inches tall and 13 inches long. For pretend battles, kids can use the catapult base that launches the scout minifigure, and then fire back with the dragon's sphere. Other weapons include the hammer, sphere, scimitar, and dynamite. The set includes three minifigures: Golden Ninja Lloyd, a scout, and a warrior.

Is It Fun?

We were impressed by the super sturdy construction, the great look, and the versatile play opportunities. It really does stay together as kids play with it, which is a big plus. The Golden Dragon will make a great addition to any fan's LEGO Ninjago collection.
