LEGO Star Wars Battle of Hoth Review (LEGO)

What It Is

With the LEGO Star Wars Battle of Hoth building set, kids can stop the Imperial attack with Luke Skywalker and his snowspeeder just like in Star Wars Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back. Using the set's 426 pieces, kids can build a snowspeeder with opening cockpit and tow hook with wire. Kids will also build a speeder bike, E-Web blaster, Imperial probe droid, tower cannon, command center, trench, and tauntan. The tower cannon features a shooting function. Six minifigures are included: Luke Skywalker in snowspeeder outfit, General Rieekan, two Hoth Rebel troopers, and two Snowtroopers. Six weapons are also included: lightsaber, blaster pistol, two blasters, and two blaster rifles. Accessories include a shovel, pickaxe, and a sausage.

Is It Fun?

LEGO has done a great job of recreating this scene from the movie and allowing LEGO and Star Wars fans to bring it to life. Kids and collectors will appreciate all the detail in this building set, and the Battle of Hoth will inspire lots of imaginative, narrative-based play for kids.

Who It’s For

The Battle of Hoth building set is for Star Wars and LEGO fans ages 8–14.

What To Be Aware Of

This set took us one hour and 15 minutes to complete. The instructions were very easy to follow. The pieces are divided into two bags, each with its own set of instructions. Don't mix pieces from the different bags together or building will become confusing.
