Matchbox Big Boots Bootsburg Crime Defenders Review (Mattel)

What It Is

Big Boots are small preschool action figures that can be tossed, launched, or dropped and always land on their feet thanks to their big boots. The Matchbox Big Boots Bootsburg Crime Defenders playset comes with two Big Boots figures: Dien the police officer and McCrookster the crook. This police station playset features multiple ways to launch the figures. Place McCrookster in the jail cell, then press down on the lever and McCrookster will make his escape. Kids can launch Dien from the side or send him rappelling from the top to catch the criminal. Kids can also send the police officer down the slide, and at the bottom of the slide, the figure will land on the motorcycle. Additional figures and vehicles are sold separately.

Is It Fun?

The Big Boots concept is really cute and will appeal to younger kids who will get a kick out of launching the characters and watching them land on their feet, or in the case of this playset, land on the motorcycle. The Crime Defenders playset will inspire lots of open-ended action play.

Who It’s For
