LEGO Legends of Chima Eris’ Eagle Interceptor Review (LEGO)

What It Is

With the Eris' Eagle Interceptor building set, part of the new LEGO Legends of Chima building theme, kids can launch an eagle-powered attack to recover the CHI. In the land of Chima, CHI is a powerful natural resource. It is the source of life, but if put in the wrong hands, it can lead to destruction. At one time, the human-like animals of Chima lived in harmony, but now they have become enemies, fighting over the CHI.

With this 348-piece set, kids will build a winged raven glider for Razar and Rizzo, who have stolen the eagle tribe's CHI. Kids can build Eris' Eagle Interceptor with realistic beak, poseable wings and legs, grabbing talons, and tail to launch a counterattack. Engage the attack pose and fire the flick missiles to bring down Razar and Rizzo and throw them in the onboard prison. The Eagle Interceptor also has a cockpit eject function. Three minifigures are included: Eris, Razar, and Rizzo.

Is It Fun?

Much like Ninjago before it, LEGO's new Legends of Chima has a great narrative that will capture kids' imaginations. This is a very detailed set with lots of moving pieces and built-in action. Eris' Eagle Interceptor will inspire lots of narrative-based play as kids pretend to protect the CHI from the bad guys and continue the Legends of Chima story.
