LEGO Duplo My First Circus Review (LEGO)

What It Is

Preschoolers can build their own circus with the LEGO Duplo My First Circus building set. Kids can build a ticket booth, a swing, and pretend fire for the lion to jump through. This 62-piece set comes with three minifigures: a ringmaster, a tightrope walker, and a clown. It also comes with three animals: an elephant with a circus decoration, a horse, and a lion. Accessories include two Duplo flame elements, flags, an umbrella, a fence, pillars, and assorted Duplo blocks. There are also special star-decorated bricks for kids to collect. The instruction booklet gives step-by-step instructions for building the set one way, but it also shows pictures of other ways kids can build with the pieces in this set. This set can be combined with other LEGO Duplo sets for even more building possibilities.

Is It Fun?

The My First Circus set gives kids a way to be part of a circus through LEGO Duplo. As with all Duplo sets, the bricks are large and chunky, making it easy for young kids to build and play. This set is a great introduction to building play for young kids and offers preschoolers lots of opportunities for open-ended play.

Who It’s For

LEGO Duplo My First Circus is for ages 2–5. It will especially appeal to kids who like building and the circus (and who aren't afraid of clowns).

What To Be Aware Of

This set took us 20 minutes to assemble. The amount of time it takes your child to build will depend on your child's LEGO building skills. No matter how long it takes your child to build, remember that building is part of the fun and play of LEGO.
