Servin’ Surprises Barbecue Set Review (Fisher-Price)

What It Is

Kids can have a pretend cook-out with the Servin' Surprises Barbecue Set. It comes with mustard and ketchup bottles, tongs, a kabob skewer, meat, shrimp, green and red peppers, a mushroom, and an onion slice. The set also includes a grill with "glowing" charcoal and a "magic" hot dog with bun. Just turn the knob on the grill to switch the picture underneath the grill from regular charcoal to "glowing" charcoal. Kids can twist the hot dog to change its toppings: ketchup, ketchup and mustard, or plain. The tongs and mustard and ketchup bottles can be stored on the grill.

The Servin' Surprises Barbecue Set is compatible with the Servin' Surprises Kitchen & Table, which is sold separately. When you place the grill on the table, you'll hear special barbecue phrases and a song.

Is It Fun?

Preschoolers will enjoy "grilling" up hot dogs and adding their favorite hot dog toppings with just a twist. Kids will also like creating different kabobs each time they play. This cute playset engages kids in lots of imaginative play.

Who It’s For

The Servin' Surprises Barbecue Set is for ages 2 and up. Since pretend cooking is a classic play pattern, most kids in the 2-4 age range will enjoy playing with this, especially in homes where families like to grill.
