Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Kraang Lab Escape Review (LEGO)

What It Is

The new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles CG-animated series on Nickelodeon has become a huge hit, and now fans of the new show can build the Turtles' world off-screen with Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle building sets from LEGO.

The Kraang Lab Escape set comes with 90 pieces that lets kids build an exciting environment and create scenarios in which the Turtles give the villains the slip with a hot slice of turtle power. The Kraang has Michelangelo locked tight in a laser-shield prison inside the lab. Kids build the lab and then slide Michelangelo's leftover pizza through the prison bars to make the Foot Soldier slip and fall. Then, activate the explosion function on the prison to help Michelangelo escape. Once free, Michelangelo must battle The Kraang in his mech walker with dual laser flick missiles. The walker's legs can be detached to turn it into a flying escape pod. The set includes three minifigures: Michelangelo, a Foot Soldier, and The Kraang.

Is It Fun?

This set offers lots of opportunities for exciting Turtles play. Kids will like all the moving parts and details, especially the pizza accessory that can be used as a weapon. Whether kids are playing out scenes from the TV show or creating their own adventures, the Kraang Lab Escape set will engage kids in lots of imaginative play.
