Christmas Magic Review (Sterling Publishing)

What It Is

In this new release, special holiday moments magically appear on each page with the pull of a tab. Kids can make an old Victorian house light up with decorations, and see little chefs transform flour and eggs into a festive gingerbread house. And of course, they can see Santa and his sleigh fly across the night sky. There is also a rhyming story that narrates many favorite holiday traditions and leads us from picture to picture.

Is It Fun?

The illustrations have a very old-world, traditional feel, which will appeal to adults as well as children. And, the tabs are easy for little hands to work, but not easy to tear. The quality is fantastic and should enchant little ones year after year.

Who It’s For

Christmas is just around the corner and if you need a last-minute gift for a 3- to 6-year-old, Christmas Magic is a nice choice. But, just about any age will enjoy the book’s changing pictures.

What To Be Aware Of

The real magic of this title are the pictures. A story is told, but the changing pictures are what will appeal most to the tots.
