The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey Riddles for the Ring Review (LEGO)

What It Is

Based on the new movie The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey, which hits theaters December 14, 2012, the Riddles for the Ring building set lets fans help Bilbo Baggins trick Gollum and escape with the ring. With the pieces in this 105-piece set, kids build Gollum's rock lair beneath the Misty Mountains and a boat for Gollum. The boat has skeleton pieces on it, and there is even a fish for Gollum to catch. The set features a rock with opening front section and secret compartment for the ring. Riddles for the Ring comes with two minifigures: Gollum and Bilbo Baggins in his journey outfit with Sting. Bilbo also has two faces, so kids can turn the figure's head to put on either Bilbo's battle face or his scared face.

Is It Fun?

Even though this is a small set, it still has lots of great detail and features that fans and collectors will appreciate. The reveal feature for the ring is cool and lets fans play out the scene from the movie.
